Stolly Insurance
In my home town there is a family name that a lot people know about and it is very easy to know them because I see their commercials all of the time and live with one myself. The Stolly’s have been a big part of the Lima history and their ties to Lima run very deep. So the Stolly Insurance company in Lima, Ohio is something that almost all Lima people know about and know a lot of the members personally because they are so involved in the community. I’ve known the Stolly’s my whole life and they have always welcomed me into their home with welcome arms as a friend. They make you feel like family which is something you always want to look for in the quality of any business. You want to know that you are in good hands and that you are working with trustworthy people especially if it is something as important as the things you are trying to insure incase anything was to happen to your stuff. Since I personally know someone related to the company I was able to ask them what they thought about the company that his family runs. So I asked Mr. Stolly what he thinks that the Stolly Insurance company has done over the years for the community of Lima, he said. “They know that the insurance business so they’re always looking for ways to help you and they’re always there for you”. So as I have gathered the information on this profile I am noticing a common theme within this company, they are community orientated and are always looking to help the community in many different ways. So in my opinion if you are in the areas where this Insurance group is located I would recommend looking into them because they sound like good people and will be there for you when you need them.
Darius Hairston
For this profile I have choose to do one of my best friends since grade school and now we are both trying to take on this thing called college together. I have chosen to do Darius because he has a really interesting story when it comes to his college career thus far and he’s only in his second year. In his first three semesters of college he has attended three different colleges, Xavier University, Ohio State University at Lima, and now the University of Cincinnati. Most people wouldn’t have the guts to do something like that, it takes a lot of different steps to transfer from colleges and he was willing to do this on two separate occasions in back-to-back semesters. So I wanted to sit down with him and ask him how he was able to stay focused with all that other stuff happening outside of the classroom. So I began by asking him why he chose to take the route he did, and he answered with, “I didn’t really choose to go to three colleges in three semesters”. I can see where this is coming from because nobody really plans on going to that many colleges but sometimes you just have to find the right fit and everything like that. You have to make sure that you can enjoy your time in college while getting the best education possible. I continued the interview by asking him how going to all these different universities has helped his college experience, “I met a lot of people, was surrounded by a group that I wasn’t familiar with”. This perfectly describes what he went through going to all these universities he was able to meet new people and even hangout with some of the people back home when he went back to the OSU branch in Lima. Finally I decided to ask him which college gave him the best experience so far, “I’d have to say Xavier taught me the most, maybe not school wise but in life”. This quote tells me that he learned a lot from his time in Xavier but it just wasn’t the spot for him now he is at UC and I think that UC is a spot where he will be able to finish his education.
